Gothenburg, Sweden

Some of my favourite restaurants in Gothenburg.

Open New Doors (opennewdoors.se)-a fully vegan restaurant on a bridge! This place has really good food and friendly staff. They change their menu weekly, but always have a salad, sandwich (best gluten free vegan bread) and something warm.

Beirut House is a really nice Lebanese restaurant, there are many foods which are vegan, except their hummus (they have mayonnaise in it-I have asked them to make it vegan). Below is falafel, spinach, cauliflower with tahini and dolma.

The Kitchen is a cute coffee shop, when you enter you can look into the kitchen and it looks like mums/grandmothers cooking for you! We had a pesto sandwich and falafel salad-both were good, although the chipotle hummus was seriously hot! The best bit was the desserts, we tried banana cake and pecan pie with Oatley cream-that pecan pie was truly amazing! 80% of the food items are vegan as well!UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_2090.jpgUNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_2091.jpg

Brewers Beer has four vegan pizzas, we tried Love Nut and Sweet Planet Feed, they were both really good, and this was my first time trying vegan cheese and I think I will be back for more!

  1. Great post 🙂
I am lactose intolerant and just moved to Sweden, so I love seeing some vegan options come up! I heard about Kalei Kaffebar also!

    1. I’ve been there to have coffee, and the place is cute and the coffee is really nice, they do have vegan/lactose free food but I didn’t try it, I should go there again soon 😊
